Detailed Problem Description

For the new delta requests that are executed after BPP upgrade to HANA, a new version of PSA is created as shown below, causing the inconsistencies during data loads:

Solution Analysis and Recommendations

As a part of Pre-Requisites before upgrade, all the delta queues needs to be cleared in ECC system until the last minute as recommended by SAP. At this point of time these delta requests are not loaded into corresponding data targets due to time constraint for downtime.

When the system has got upgraded to HANA & delta requests are executed for validation, a newer version of PSA is generated as mentioned above. When the corresponding DTP loads are triggered, system was not able to load the data due to mutiple PSA versioning causing the failure of data loads.

Resolution

1. All the delta requests that are executed before the upgrade needs to be updated into the data targets by creating a new DTP directly in Production system.
2. Once the data is updated in to data targets, the older version of PSA requests need to be deleted to avoid inconsistencies in future.
3. PSA request with newer version are needed to be loaded using the regular DTP request used in the data flow.
